Please may I add my name to the virtual hat — I’d love to read Meditations for Mortals because his first book, Four Thousand Weeks (and his newsletter) transformed by way of thinking. Thanks!

PS. Buying a book for a reader is such a lovely idea!! ✨

So honoured to be on this list (and what a list) – thank you Penny!! I adored The Wedding People too – and am still dying to read Ordinary Time, it had me at “train journey”.

What a list - thank you!

I'm sure you already know it but wonder if you're a fan of the Chat 10 Looks 3 podcast? Leigh and Annabel have introduced me to so many great Aussie authors! 📚

What a fantastic list, friend. I normally wouldn't add my name to the hat, to give others a chance, but since I can't find The Rom-Commers up here... I thought I'd at least say: that's definitely on my list! The Wedding People too. But stories about writers? I'll take more of that, this year!

The Wedding People was so good! I read an ARC of it a while back, and it quickly became one of my top reads!

Oooo Sandwich please!!! We All Want Impossible things might be the best, and definitely most devastating and hilarious book I read this year. It’s been on my list to get next x

Very hard to chose but I think Ordinary Time is the one I'd most like to receive because Cathy R's book Last Act of Love is one I refer back to time and again ❤️

Thanks for this, Francesca! I’ve been considering putting together my own list, but maybe I’ll just keep reading. I’ve already got a library hold on Wood’s latest, and will get Wincer’s book on my Kindle for an upcoming trip. To your question: The Wedding People and Rob-commers stand out for me, along with the book of essays.

Love this list! I’m going to choose Piglet because it’s a debut and I don’t know the author. Lots of writers on this list I love though. Off to see if I can reserve any on my audiobook apps…🤞🏼

I've saved this post to keep coming back to, such great recommendations! I've heard a lot about Wedding People and Sandwich, and Rom Commers too. Marian Keyes' My Favourite Mistake was my top book of 2024, the audiobook version especially.

My mother read your book, Home Matters in about three minutes! She inhaled it! Said it was one of her favorite books of 24! And she reads a hell of a lot of books!

Both Ordinary Time and Sandwich are on my “books I want to read” list. Everyone seems to be recommending Sandwich so that would be my choice.
